The first free Museum Sunday of 2023 will take place this Sunday, 8 January. The initiative will be joined by the Nõmme Museum, located in the former station building.
Tallinn's district governments have set up a total of 79 collection points across the city where old Christmas trees can be given away for free. Collected Christmas trees are not dumped in landfills, but are reused for district heating in the city's houses or to generate electricity.
On 10 March, the photo exhibition "I Choose Life", depicting Ukrainians who fled to Estonia from the war and their stories, will open on Vabaduse Square. It is a social and cultural project created by Ukrainian war refugee photographers.
Because of the annual public Defence Forces Parade, taking place on Vabaduse väljak, new traffic regulations will be put into force on Thursday 23 February, from 18:30 pm and Friday, 24 February from 8-17.

From 1 March, parents in Tallinn will be able to submit applications for the designation of schools of residence for children entering the first grade of municipal school in September 2023.
Residents of Tallinn who are unable to vote electronically or at a polling station due to ill health or other valid reasons can order a ballot box to their place of residence from the City District Government.
Due to the construction of the second phase of the Vanasadama tram line, which will begin in April, changes will be made to 27 bus routes. From 4 April to 31 May 2023, buses 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, 18A, 20, 20A, 23, 29, 31, 34, 35, 38, 40, 44, 46, 48, 51, 55, 60, 63, 67 and 68 will be rerouted and bus 15 will change.
On Tuesday 28 March, AS Tallinna Vesi will be switching the water supply for the district of Nõmme to the drinking water from the Ülemiste water treatment plant for a period of 12 hours. The purpose of this test is to map out opportunities to ensure the water supply for the people and businesses of Nõmme in the event that the district suffers a wide-scale blackout and its well pump stations cannot supply them with water.
Tallinn ice-skating rinks will soon end their season. Lasnamäe, Mustamäe and Nõmme skating rinks will be open until the end of the week. The Old Town skating rink will remain open until the end of the month if the weather conditions allow.
