Tallinn Day will be celebrated for the 21st time on Sunday 15 May, but the first events to mark the city's birthday will take place on Friday 13 May.

A total of nine youth festivals will take place across Tallinn during the summer, focusing on extreme sports, street art and dance, and music. The summer of festivals kicks off on 14 May in Männi Park as part of Tallinn Day.

From May, Tallinn's free Museum Sundays will be joined by The Estonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Põhja-Tallinn and the Gallery of Kaja Cultural Centre in Mustamäe.

This weekend, Tallinners can get involved in a series of community clean-ups and help make the city cleaner as part of the Let's Do It campaign. Helping hands are welcome in Põhja-Tallinn, Haabersti, Kesklinn, Nõmme and Kristiine districts, and activities take place on Friday and Saturday.

The Tallinn European Green Capital 2023 bureau opened an exhibition on Tallinn's biodiversity in Tammsaare Park, which will remain open until the end of May. The exhibition highlights Tallinn's more special and unusual species and their habitats.

The upcoming Sunday is International Mothers' Day and to celebrate, people can visit a series of concerts in the open air and in concert halls, as well as workshops and fairs taking place in Tallinn.

The updated edition of the "ABCs of Public Facilities and Maintenance" guide, which provides information on the urban environment, birds and animals, waste, playgrounds and cemeteries, is available on the Tallinn Maintenance Month website. The guide is published in Estonian, Russian and English.

To create a nine-kilometre-long park area on a limestone cliff bordering Lasnamäe, Kesklinn and Pirita, a call for ideas was carried out among Tallinn residents. The results will be presented today, 31 March, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljaku Klaassaal). The presentation can also be followed online.

With the arrival of spring, this year's season at Tallinn's ice skating rinks are coming to an end, only to start again at the beginning of next winter. By the end of the season, the city's ice rinks will have been visited around 110 000 times.
