The international sail training organization Sail Training International has confirmed the host ports for the 2028 Tall Ships Races regatta. One of the selected ports is Tallinn.

Tallinn is working together with the local community to redesign Ristiku and Härjapea streets, aiming to create a modern, green, and inclusive street space. A public discussion on Ristiku Street will take place on 10 June at 17:30 at Ristiku põhikool.

Starting in September, the City of Tallinn will introduce major changes to its sports funding principles for children and youth, increasing the total support volume by nearly 75 percent. This reform updates the previous funding system, which has been in place for almost 17 years. For the 2025/26 academic year, a total of 3,906 children have been assigned a place in the first grade of Tallinn’s municipal schools.

Starting 1 June, Tallinn public transport will switch to its summer schedule, resulting in changes to timetables. In addition, several updates will be made to the public transport route network, as well as to stop names and locations.

Tallinn Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski sent a letter today to Prime Minister Kristen Michal urging the government to make a decision on funding the new medical campus in Tallinn and establishing a unified hospital system. If the government fails to act soon, the city will move ahead on its own to merge its healthcare institutions – East Tallinn Central Hospital, West Tallinn Central Hospital, and Tallinn Children’s Hospital. The state-owned North Estonia Medical Centre (PERH) can only be included in this merger with a decision from the national government. Without such a decision, PERH will remain outside the unified hospital system in Tallinn.

From May 12 to 18, residents of Tallinn (as registered in the population register) can once again bring their bulky waste—such as unusable furniture, bicycles, or baby strollers—to the city’s waste stations and the Lilleküla Circular Economy Centre free of charge.
