At the meeting on Wednesday, Tallinn City Government appointed Hardi Alliksaar as the Head of the Tallinn City Property Department.

Earlier this year, Tallinn started the construction of a health trail in the Nõmme-Mustamäe Landscape Reserve. After extensive discussions with the local community, it was decided to suspend the construction of the new health trail for the time being.

The second day of the Tallinn Day program, 14 May, will be dedicated to the city districts, which will organize several exciting events. This weekend, 21-22 May, residents of Haabersti, Mustamäe, Nõmme and Pirita will be able to dispose of both hazardous waste and reusable items at a collection stop near their homes.

The Tallinn City Government has decided to continue the full rent exemption for outdoor terraces in the city until the end of May this year, with a 50 per cent rental discount from the beginning of June until the end of August. Full rent exemption will again be applied from the beginning of September until the end of December this year.

According to the new waste management plan, Tallinn will expand separate collection of biowaste and textile waste, and turn waste collection stations into circular economy centres.

The Tallinn City Government decided to create a Ukraine Square in Lembitu Park in the centre of Tallinn. City institutions have been tasked with preparing the formal process of establishing the new place name and an urban spatial solution.
