On Thursday, 28 August, Baltic Sea Day will be celebrated across all countries bordering the Baltic Sea. In Tallinn, a diverse, family-friendly event will take place at Pikakari Beach and the Paljassaare Peninsula. Some activities require pre-registration, which is already open.
30 more battery trolleybuses to be acquired to expand trolleybus network
The Tallinn City Government has approved the full use of the purchase option under the contract concluded by AS Tallinna Linnatransport, under which 30 additional battery trolleybuses will be acquired next year.

The City of Tallinn is offering free legal advice to residents during scheduled consultation days in each district. The next consultation days will be on June 6 from 9:00 to 14:00 at the Kristiine District Government office and on June 13 from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government office.
All 76 polling stations open in Tallinn starting Friday
From tomorrow until Sunday, all 76 polling stations in Tallinn will be open for the European Parliament elections. Advance and electronic voting will continue until June 8, with election day on Sunday, June 9.
42 school stadiums and sports fields open for public use this summer
From June 13 to August 30, Tallinn is opening 38 school stadiums and four sports fields for free public use. Sports equipment boxes, containing items like balls, will be available for borrowing on-site.
Tallinn’s ice skating rinks open for the season
Everyone is invited to enjoy the winter skating season! The Mustamäe and Lasnamäe ice rinks have been open since November 2, with the Telliskivi rink opening on November 15, Nõmme and Old Town rinks on November 16, and the Pirita Sports Center rink on November 23.
Tallinn's 2025 budget focuses on children and families
The Tallinn City Government is set to submit the 2025 city budget proposal to the City Council. The proposed budget totals €1.29 billion, which is €69.9 million (5.7%) higher than the revised 2024 budget. The largest portions of both investment and operational expenses are allocated to education and mobility.
