As part of a charity campaign that took place throughout September, 75 schools across Estonia, including 8 Tallinn schools, received slacklines to promote physical activity among students.
The City Government decided that Tallinn municipal schools will continue dispersing students at a 30-50 percent capacity, depending on the situation of each particular school, for the next two weeks, i.e. from 15 to 26 November.
Yesterday, the City Government decided that Tallinn municipal schools will continue partial distance learning for another week, i.e. from 8 to 12 November. Distance learning will continue for grade 4-8 students, but students in grades 1-3 and 9-12, and also students with special educational needs, will remain on contact learning.
From 17 May, groups of up to 25 people are allowed to attend public events and meetings and entertainment venues outdoors. People can visit outdoor public saunas, spas, swimming pools, and water parks, provided that the number of participants does not exceed 25 people per group.
To mitigate the effects of the crisis, the Tallinn City Government decided to continue the 100 per cent rent exemption for outdoor terraces until the end of August and also to grant a 50 per cent rent discount to tenants operating in city-owned commercial premises, such as caterers and venders, until the end of August.
The environmental education activities of Tallinn's educational institutions again received international recognition - one school and five kindergartens were awarded the Eco-School Green Flag label, which were presented by Deputy Mayor Kalle Klandorf this week.

Tallinn City Government has decided to increase the city's subsidy for school meals for pupils from 1 September 2022, bringing the cost of school meals to €1.56 per day. In Tallinn, school meals are free of charge for both primary and secondary school students.
