In the coming week, from 21 to 27 November, residents of Tallinn will once again dispose of bulky waste at waste collection points free of charge.

This year, 428 abandoned vehicles have been removed from Tallinn's urban space under the auspices of the Municipal Police Office, and 275 more are in the process of being removed. This will free up valuable parking spaces in the city and improve the quality of street maintenance.

On Friday, 18 November, a construction contract was signed at the Children's Museum Miiamilla (L. Koidula 21c) for the creation of the main project of the indoor and outdoor exhibition of the new permanent exhibition "Children's World Spaces". The activities of the new permanent exhibition are designed for the whole family to discover and will cost about €766 000.

Jevgeni Ossinovski, chairman of the Tallinn City Council, who is currently visiting Ukraine gave 50 used laptops to Lyceum 25 in Zhytomyr. The laptops were donated by the City of Tallinn.

A total of 415 ideas for improving city life in the coming year were submitted by Tallinn citizens to the Tallinn participatory budget call for ideas, with the highest number of proposals intended to improve the areas of youth, sports and leisure.

Voting for Tallinn's participatory budget has started today, with everyone in Tallinn aged 14 or over able to vote for up to two ideas of their choice in their neighborhood.

Tallinn announced a limited design competition to design a new and modern Käo Support Center Pae Center building in Lasnamäe.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted to the City Council a 2023 city budget with a total amount of 1.14 billion euros, which is 66.5 million or 6.2% more than the 2022 budget. The focus of next year’s budget will be on social security, with most of the investment going into roads, streets and education.

n 23 and 24 November, a delegation led by Kotka Mayor Esa Sirviö, the Chairman of the City Council Pasi Hirvonen and the Chairman of the City Board Sami Virtanen will visit the city of Kotka, Tallinn.The visit included a meeting of the mayors of Tallinn and Kotka today and a joint concert of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the Kymi Sinfonietta in the Estonia Concert Hall in the evening.

Tomorrow, 25 November at 6pm, the traditional Christmas market will open at Town Hall Square and the lights will be lit on Tallinn's central Christmas tree. The traditional first Advent candle will be lit on the tree in Town Hall Square by Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and Tallinn's Provost Jaan Tammsalu this Sunday at 4pm.
