This weekend, the Kadriorg Park will host the light festival “Valgus kõnnib 2025”, which will bring temporary traffic changes in the Kadriorg area on the evenings of September 19 and 20.

The proposals from the Citizens’ Assembly have led to 61 initiatives to make the city greener and more people-centric: 20 have already been completed, 28 are underway, and 13 are still to come.

During the last two weekends of October, residents of Tallinn can once again give away hazardous waste free of charge. On October 23, hazardous waste are collected in Kesklinn and Lasnamäe, on October 24 in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallin, on October 30 in Pirita and Mustamäe, and on October 31 in Haabersti and Nõmme.

From October 20 to October 26, COVID-19 counselling and vaccination points will be open in Haabersti, Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn and Nõmme, where everyone can ask for advice on vaccination and at the same time get vaccinated. Two-dose Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna vaccines and a single-dose Janssen vaccine are administered. The counselling and vaccination points will be located in the local election polling tents that were set up last week.

The Tallinn City Government has completed this year’s statistical yearbook "Tallinn in Figures" that offers an overview of the development of different areas of the city in the recent years. The population of Tallinn has grown for more than 20 years in a row, already reaching above 445,600.

Today, the Mayor of Tallinn, Mihhail Kõlvart, and the Mayor of Tartu, Urmas Klaas, signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate the co-operation between the European Green Capital 2023 Tallinn and the European Capital of Culture 2024 Tartu for mutual advantage.
