Up to five new railway crossings for pedestrians and cyclists will be built in Tallinn over the next three years.

The Tallinn Transport Department has expanded the parking areas for shared e-scooters, light mopeds and bicycles to Telliskivi and the Balti jaam area, as well as to the Kompassi, Raua and Kadriorg districts. In addition to the existing central city zones, 104 new parking spaces have been established.

The newly opened section now features pedestrian and bicycle paths, playgrounds and sports facilities, lighting, and much more to make moving through the urban space pleasant and safe.

Today, the SA Tallinna Haigla Arendus signed a contract with the joint bidders Osaühing Sirkel ja Mall and INDUSTRIA PROJECT Sp. z o.o. to start preparing the main design project for the future Tallinn Hospital medical campus.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinna Sügisjooks (Autumn Run) will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September, bringing tens of thousands of running enthusiasts to the districts of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti. As a result, there will be temporary changes to traffic and public transport.

The City of Tallinn and Nordlin Ehitus OÜ signed a contract today to begin the extensive renovation of Kadriorg Stadium. The work will include upgrades to the main stadium arena, the football training arena, and the stadium’s technical infrastructure.

Reconstruction of Peterburi maantee will begin on 18 September. The goal of the project is to redesign the street space to make it safer and more people-centred. The work will affect traffic arrangements, and public transport routes will be adjusted.

The new pedestrian tunnels on Endla Street will provide pedestrians and cyclists with a safe and convenient route between the city centre and Kristiine.

Due to the construction of the second phase of the Vanasadama tram line, which will begin in April, changes will be made to 27 bus routes. From 4 April to 31 May 2023, buses 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, 18A, 20, 20A, 23, 29, 31, 34, 35, 38, 40, 44, 46, 48, 51, 55, 60, 63, 67 and 68 will be rerouted and bus 15 will change.

To ensure everyone can conveniently return home, key public transport lines in the city will operate until 3 am on January 1.
