The Tallinn City Government has submitted a draft regulation to the City Council, proposing a reduction in municipal kindergarten fees starting from April 1, 2025.

Tallinn aims to enhance residents' environmental awareness and biodiversity through community initiatives and collaboration by supporting urban gardening and environmental projects. This year, a total of €458,000 will be distributed across three funding rounds.

Due to construction on Ahtri Street, from May 15 to June 6, the Siimeoni temporary stop for bus line No. 66 heading towards Priisle will be located on Jõe Street in front of the building at Lootsi 3a.

This year, Tallinn Day celebrates the 776th anniversary of the granting of Lübeck rights. The festivities began on May 15 and will peak on Saturday, May 18, with several major events including the street festival Ghetto Games, the recycling festival UK Fest, the concert-performance "Multifaceted City," and much more. For the first time, Tallinn Night will also be celebrated as part of Tallinn Day.

Separate collection of waste is the only way to ensure better recycling opportunities for different types of waste, thereby saving both the environment and resources. Tallinn residents can dispose of separately collected packaging at their place of origin or at public packaging points.

The Tallinn City Government has approved the locations of polling stations for the 2025 local elections. The updated list reflects voters’ preferences for casting their ballots in shopping centres, improved accessibility, and participation rates in previous elections. Polling stations with fewer than 600 voters will be merged with others. In total, 43 physical polling stations will be open across Tallinn, with one additional station designated for organising voting at the voter's location.

On Tuesday, 4 April, the second phase of the Vanasadam tram line construction work will begin and with that, Hobujaama Street and half of Laikmaa Street in the direction of Gonsiori Street will be closed. Narva mnt and the Hobujaama intersection will remain open. The construction work will cause changes to 27 bus line routes.

The construction of the Vanasadam tramway will cause traffic changes in the area around the intersection of Kursi Street and Põhja pst. until mid-September. From Tuesday 6 June, the section of Kursi Street in front of the Tallinn Creative Hub will be closed to traffic. From 26 June, the intersection of Põhja pst. and Kursi Street will also be closed.

Night buses will continue to operate in Tallinn until at least the end of the year. Starting from November 1, departure days and times will be adjusted based on when the service has the most users.

Tallinn will initiate a four-month-long night bus pilot project lasting from 19 May to 17 September. During this period, four routes will be active at night from Friday to Sunday.
