Restoration efforts in 2025 focus on Skoone and Ingeri bastions
Next year, Tallinn will continue with several significant restoration projects, some of which began this year. The draft 2025 city budget allocates €2.8 million for the restoration of the Toompea retaining wall, bastions, and city wall.
City Government appoints district governors for Kristiine and Nõmme
Today, the Tallinn City Government appointed the district governors for Kristiine and Nõmme. Starting May 2, Renata Lukk will lead Kristiine, while Karmo Kuri, who also served in this role during the previous administration, will continue as the governor of Nõmme. Both candidates received approval from their respective district councils.

Tallinn's musical ensembles to perform three concerts in European Capital of Culture Tartu
Musical ensembles from Tallinn, a UNESCO City of Music, will perform three concerts in Tartu, the European Capital of Culture 2024. The Tallinn Chamber Orchestra will perform in Tartu on May 26, and the Tallinn Police Orchestra will perform in Räpina on May 23 and in Võru on October 6.
Tallinn honors outstanding restoration projects of 2023
Yesterday, the Tallinn Urban Planning Department honored the owners, architects, and construction companies of historical buildings that were excellently restored and refurbished last year. The awards were presented by Deputy Mayor Madle Lippus and the head of the City Planning Department, Martin Karro.
