Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with Montpellier Mayor Michaël Delafosse to share Tallinn’s experiences with free public transport.

This year, in the last round of non-profit sports grants, Tallinn will allocate just over 31,000 euros to 31 local sports projects.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart is attending the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum 2023 in Seoul, South Korea, from September 24-26, where he will deliver a presentation on reducing cities' carbon emissions.

Next year, Tallinn will launch a project to count pedestrians and cyclists at key locations in the city centre. The project is supported by the European Union’s CEF Transport programme and will run until the end of 2028.

The Tallinn City Government established a care cost limit of 734 euros for general care services and a limit of 70 euros per month for exempting a relative of a service recipient with a lower income from the obligation to pay. This means that as of 1 July, recipients of the service will receive compensation of up to 734 euros for the cost of their nursing home spot and their relatives will be exempted from their co-payment obligation for up to 705 euros.

On September 14th, Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart hosted His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at Tallinn Town Hall. The meeting encompassed Tallinn's good relations with the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church, environmental issues, and the city's initiatives as the European Green Capital, among others.
