Tallinn aims to transform the Kopliranna green area into an extension of the Stroomi beach promenade, creating a natural and harmonious space for coastal walks, recreation, and exercise.

On August 29, Tallinn will celebrate Baltic Sea Day with a series of activities near Linnahall, including clean-up efforts, workshops, and a discussion on the state of the Baltic Sea. The day will culminate in the opening concert of the Linnaruumifestival (Urban Space Festival) and a special performance titled "How to Look at the Sea." Additionally, Põhja-Tallinn District and World Cleanup Estonia are organizing a major cleanup event and environmental hike at Pikakari Beach and the Paljassaare Peninsula.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinn Autumn Run, taking place next weekend, September 7-8, will bring around 20,000 participants to the streets of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti, leading to temporary changes in traffic and public transportation.

This autumn, Tallinn is planning several updates to the public transport network to improve connections between city districts and offer more convenient transfer options. The City of Tallinn, as part of its 2020-2030 education strategy, aims to modernize the entire network of schools and kindergartens by 2030. This year, the city is investing over 38 million euros in the renovation of kindergartens.

Next summer, a new beach building with an observation deck will be built at Stroomi Beach. The plan is to construct a temporary wooden modular house that can be utilized elsewhere upon the completion of a permanent solution.

The Tallinn Transport Department is installing eight speed awareness displays across the city to remind drivers of the current speed limits. These emotion cameras display vehicle speeds and provide feedback to drivers, showing whether they are complying with speed restrictions.

The construction of the Old City Harbour tramway along Põhja puiestee near Linnahall is set to disrupt tram services to Kopli from May 3 until mid-August. During the first weekend of May, tram lines No. 1, 2, and 5 will be out of service. From May 6, a temporary tram line No. 1 will operate between Kopli and Linnahall stops.

From the evening of Friday, May 3, at 20.00 until the end of Sunday, May 5, tram service between Kopli and the city centre will be temporarily suspended. During this period, tram lines 1, 2, and 5 will be replaced by shuttle bus line 52 on the segment between Kopli and Mere puiestee. This suspension is due to construction work at the temporary Linnahall stop and the tram turnaround loop at the Skoone Bastion stadium.
