From 30 March, Tallinn is offering free legal advice to residents in ten scheduled consultation days in all eight of the city districts.

In order to better match the donations of helpful citizens of Tallinn with the urgent needs of war refugees from Ukraine, Tallinn is organising a collection of everyday items in the district administrations from Thursday, 10 March.

Due to the preparations for the Estonian Independence Day parade taking place on Vabaduse Square in Tallinn, the Covid prevention point on Vabaduse Square will be closed on 23 and 24 February. Other vaccination points in the city will remain open even during the national holiday.

Tallinn is a UNESCO City of Music from October 2021, and in this context the city has opened a call for applications to support music events taking place in Tallinn. In the first music grant round of the year, Tallinn awarded a total of €53,584 to 11 music projects.

The Tallinn City Government sent a supplementary budget to the City Council, which will increase the salaries of people working in the city's institutions by seven per cent from 1 March. Tallinn's city planning goal for the new year is to plan a more people-centered and sustainable city. Among other things, it means dividing public space and street space in favor of sustainable ways of moving, and planning a greener and more active urban space.

Against the backdrop of soaring electricity prices, the city must also find ways to save energy. As one measure, the winter lights will be switched off earlier than planned, and dismantling has already begun.
