The Tallinn Property Department will remove Soviet Union symbols from the Nõmme District Government building located at Valdeku 13, which was constructed in the 1950s.

The Tallinn Transport Department has compiled an analysis of speed limits in the city, examining how lowering speed limits affects traffic safety. Driving speed is one of the most critical factors influencing traffic safety, but creating a safer traffic environment also requires secure infrastructure, public awareness, and effective traffic enforcement.

Due to the next stage in pipeline construction works and the reconstruction of the Sõpruse puiestee and Tihase tänav intersection, Sõpruse puiestee will be partially closed to traffic within the construction zones from 22-28 August.

On Sunday, 27 April, construction works will take place on Estonia puiestee between Kentmanni and Sakala streets, affecting traffic in the area as well as the routes and stops of several bus lines.

The City of Tallinn and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Kingdom of Spain have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote educational cooperation. Starting on 21 April 2025, the City of Tallinn will begin works to remove a Soviet decorative emblem from the façade of the Russian Cultural Centre (Mere puiestee 5). The removal is based on the city government’s coalition agreement and a structural safety assessment.

In July last year, reconstruction began on the Kadaka puiestee bridge in Tallinn, which had reached the end of its service life and become structurally unsafe. As of Monday, the new bridge will be complete and open to traffic. Public transport will return to its regular routes in the first half of next week.

This October, the county bus layover area at Balti jaam station will be closed. As a result, the final stops for many county lines in Tallinn will be relocated, with buses instead terminating at Vabaduse väljak, Viru väljak, and Teatri väljak.
