Tallinn launched a draft to change land tax rates, maintaining the current homestead tax exemption
At today’s meeting, Tallinn City Government decided to submit new land tax rates to the City Council, which, according to the draft, will take effect from 1 January 2024.
Application round for summer youth brigades will open shortly
The application round for Õpilasmalev’s 2023 groups will be opened for Tallinn’s school students at 16:00 on Wednesday, 10 May. There are around 60 youth brigade groups available for hardworking young people aged 13-19 this summer.

City government submitted a third supplementary budget to the city council
The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2022 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 22 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2022 will be 1.74 billion euros.
Residents are receiving bio-waste collection containers
To promote the separate collection of bio-waste, Tallinn is distributing bio-waste collection containers free of charge to everybody interested.
Tallinn supports the restoration of historical buildings
This year, Tallinn has given restoration grants to support the restoration of 24 historical buildings that include restoring roofs, façades and a historical elevator. New applications for restoration grants will be accepted from the beginning of the next year.
