The Tallinn City Government has submitted the detailed plan for the western part of the historic Kopli liinid (Kopli Lines) to the City Council for adoption.
The City of Tallinn is taking the next step in building a new tram line – preparations for the construction of the Pelguranna tram line are moving into the design phase. The new line will serve the neighborhoods of Pelguranna, Sitsi, Pelgulinn, Karjamaa, and Kalamaja, providing fast and convenient connections to the city center. It will also improve mobility options for pedestrians and cyclists.
Starting on 20 October, Tallinn offers children and young people a wide choice of school holiday camps and activities — from creative workshops and technology labs to sports, theatre, and outdoor adventures.
The Tallinn City Government has approved the locations of polling stations for the 2025 local elections. The updated list reflects voters’ preferences for casting their ballots in shopping centres, improved accessibility, and participation rates in previous elections. Polling stations with fewer than 600 voters will be merged with others. In total, 43 physical polling stations will be open across Tallinn, with one additional station designated for organising voting at the voter's location.
Due to the construction of the second phase of the Vanasadama tram line, which will begin in April, changes will be made to 27 bus routes. From 4 April to 31 May 2023, buses 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, 18A, 20, 20A, 23, 29, 31, 34, 35, 38, 40, 44, 46, 48, 51, 55, 60, 63, 67 and 68 will be rerouted and bus 15 will change.
On the 3rd of February, a meeting took place within the GoGreenRoutes project, during which residents, local organisations and city officials discussed the future of the Vormsi green area. The goal is to maintain the green area and transform it into an accessible leisure space while also considering its existing historical heritage and urban nature that has formed over time. The meeting focused on discussing and planning this year’s activities that could help to reach the desired solutions step by step.
