For the upcoming year, Tallinn's budget allocates nearly 396 million euros for educational operations, representing almost 41% of the total operating costs. The primary focuses include the transition to Estonian-language education, increased investment, and raising the minimum wage for teachers.

During the weekends of October 21-22 and October 28-29, Tallinn residents can dispose of hazardous waste and reusable items at local collection events.

Tallinn's participatory budgeting for 2024 saw the submission of 491 proposals, surpassing the previous record by 76 and achieving the best result in four years. An expert committee will evaluate the feasibility of these ideas. The projects to be implemented will be decided through public voting.

From Saturday, 1 April, Tallinn’s waste treatment facilities will start following a summer work schedule which means that the business hours will be extended during weekdays.
