Nine applications were received for the evaluation of the first projects of the Test in Tallinn programme initiated by the city of Tallinn, three of which were moved forward and hope to reach the testing phase.

Geneva is currently hosting UNECE Urban Resilience Week, featuring the Mayor's Forum, with Deputy Mayor Tiit Terik representing Tallinn. This forum serves as a platform for city leaders to discuss critical urban development topics, including inclusivity, adaptability, and sustainability.

During the Christmas period, Tallinn’s public transport will operate according to the Sunday timetable. On the evening of 31 December, traffic restrictions will be in place in the Freedom Square area due to the New Year’s concert and light show, and several bus routes will be diverted. After midnight, in the early hours of 1 January, the operating hours of a number of routes will be extended to ensure that people celebrating the New Year can return home safely by public transport.

The City of Tallinn project was among the 14 chosen by the European Urban Initiative from a total of 99 applications that will receive a five million euro grant from the Regional Development Fund.
