From September 10 until the end of October, scooter, skateboard and BMX park style trainings take place in the newly opened Tondiraba Park. The trainings are guided by the Keerdtrepp instructors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and are free of charge.

With the package of additional support measures proposed by the Tallinn City Government, Tallinn plans to exempt traders, caterers and other enterprises operating in the city's commercial premises across the city from paying rent until the end of April.

At today’s cabinet meeting, the members of the Government approved the decisions on the basis of which even more wide-ranging restrictions will come into force in Estonia from Thursday, March 11 until April 11. The restrictions will be eased when the spread of the coronavirus in Estonia has been reduced to the level that does not endanger the medical system’s ability to function. Today the government adopted the decisions in principle, the plan is to approve the corresponding order at tomorrow’s extraordinary meeting.

This year's best athletes and team of Tallinn were announced at a ceremony held in Tondiraba Ice Hall on Wednesday evening - the title of best female athlete was awarded to Kelly Sildaru, while the title of best male athlete was awarded to Janek Õiglane, the best youth athlete was swimmer Eneli Jefimova, the best para-athlete was the wheelchair curling team of Kätlin Riidbach, Signe Falkenberg, Andrei Koitmäe and Lauri Murašov and the best team was Tallinn FC Flora football team. Tallinn's best youth sports club was Nelson wrestling club.

Tallinn has launched four different calls for applications to support music and culture projects in 2023, aimed at enriching Tallinn's cultural calendar, improving access to culture and ensuring the continuity of cultural events.

In 2022, Tallinn hosted nearly 90 high-level international competitions, including 21 World and European Championships and World and European Cups. This year's international sporting events were supported by the capital with a total of more than €865 000.
