In the coming years, the City of Tallinn will build a series of new and upgraded cycle paths in the city centre and the surrounding districts. Investments are planned from the city's budget as well as from EU funds, with a strong emphasis on community involvement.

Tallinn Zoo is one of the many zoos in the world that is collecting donations to help the staff and animals of Ukrainian zoos affected by war. Donations from people living in Estonia will be passed on in full to Ukrainian aquaria and zoos through European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) rescue operation. The parade of the Defence Forces on the occasion of the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and the rehearsal of the parade on Vabaduse Square will cause changes to public transport routes in Tallinn city centre on Wednesday 23 February from 19:00 and Thursday 24 February from 8-16:30.
This weekend, 21-22 May, residents of Haabersti, Mustamäe, Nõmme and Pirita will be able to dispose of both hazardous waste and reusable items at a collection stop near their homes.
Over the last two weekends of May, a total of 1,444 residents of Tallinn handed over altogether 26.5 tonnes of hazardous waste in the collection campaign, and 1.5 tonnes of reusable items were donated for recycling.
During the upcoming Victory Day and Midsummer's Day, on June 23 and 24, and on the following holidays, people with health concerns can turn to the emergency rooms of hospitals; the Tallinn Dental Clinic and emergency pharmacies are open; and guidance is given by the Family Doctor's Advice Line.
In the draft 2023 city budget, the largest share of the total investment is in the reconstruction and overhaul of roads and streets, with €78.1 million planned. Emphasis is placed on the reconstruction of major transport nodes and the overhaul and rehabilitation of streets, bridges and viaducts.
