Kindergarten fees to remain unchanged for Tallinn residents
The Tallinn City Government has proposed that the City Council amend regulations so that the rate of the parent’s share in kindergarten fees would stay at its current level for residents of Tallinn.
Tallinn parents to receive school admission notices for their first-graders
The Tallinn Education Department has started informing parents about the designation of the school of residence for their children who will start school on 1 September 2022. The deadline for accepting the assigned school is 10 June.

Tallinn to pay the benefit for 1st graders in one part
From this autumn, Tallinn will start paying the one-time allowance 320 euros for children going to the first grade in one instalment. So far, the benefit has been paid in two parts. Parents can start applying for the benefit from 13 September.
Tallinn releases families from kindergarten fee for the second child and onwards
The Tallinn City Government adopted a draft regulation with the aim to release families with two or more children attending kindergarten from the tuition fee. Under the same conditions, support will also be provided to parents of children attending private kindergartens or using childcare services.
Applications for admission to first grade can be submitted until March 26
Until March 26, parents can submit applications for the appointment of schools of residence for children entering the first grade of Tallinn Municipal School in September this year.
Tallinn will release parents from the kindergarten fee until the end of April
The Tallinn City Government is planning an additional package of support measures, which, among other things, entails an exemption from tuition fee for parents of children attending Tallinn kindergartens from 11 March to 30 April.
A home doctor's crew performs house calls for small children on weekends
In Tallinn, parents can order a house call by a medical brigade on weekends to treat a child aged 0-8 with acute symptoms. For example, a home doctor’s crew can be called if a parent has not been able to visit the G.P. with an ill child or the child has fallen ill during the weekend.
