Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with Montpellier Mayor Michaël Delafosse to share Tallinn’s experiences with free public transport.

As a result of construction work on Valukoja street, bus lines 7, 15, 45, 49, 64 and 65 will have their routes and bus stop locations changed from May 22 to June 2. In addition, the route of bus line 52 will be changing in the direction of Ülemiste station.

Tallinn has expanded the availability of its free public transportation service, previously exclusive to diplomats, to now include members and officials of the foreign armed forces serving with the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the NATO staff element.

The City of Tallinn provides residents with free legal advice on designated consultation days scheduled in each district. With the reopening of Hobujaama and Laikmaa streets to public transport on October 21, all temporary bus route diversions caused by the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line will come to an end.

The Tallinn City Government is proposing to the City Council to merge several institutions and services managed by the Tallinn Welfare and Healthcare Department. The aim of this consolidation is to ensure a unified, high-quality social services system while optimizing management costs.

Tallinn will increase public transport capacity around the Song Festival Grounds during major summer events to improve access and ensure convenient travel to and from concerts and festivals. Night bus services will also run more frequently on weekends with large events.

This October, the county bus layover area at Balti jaam station will be closed. As a result, the final stops for many county lines in Tallinn will be relocated, with buses instead terminating at Vabaduse väljak, Viru väljak, and Teatri väljak.
