Starting Tuesday, January 2, reconstruction works will begin on Koidula Street, between Poska and Koidula 34a, to install utilities for the new orangery in Kadriorg Park.

Today at its session, the Tallinn City Government presented the Tallinn City Council with a detailed plan for the beach area in the Pirita district, aimed at developing and shaping this area into a flagship beach for the city.

The initial phase of Tallinn's “Safe School Route” (“Turvaline koolitee”) program is set to focus on 14 schools within the city, addressing safety challenges around school vicinities such as safe sidewalks, bike lanes, street crossings, parking areas, and the implementation of traffic calming measures. Due to the celebration of the Republic of Estonia's 106th anniversary and the Estonian Defense Forces parade rehearsal at Vabaduse väljak, public transportation routes in Tallinn city centre will undergo changes on the evening of Friday, February 23, starting at 6:30 PM and on Saturday, February 24, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The City of Tallinn is planning the reconstruction of Ristiku and Härjapea streets to transform the existing street space into a modern, greener, and more inclusive urban area. A public presentation of the landscaping solution for Ristiku Street will take place on Thursday, February 29, at 5:30 p.m. at Pelgulinna Gümnaasium (Mulla 7).

The Tallinn City Government initiated a detailed plan in today's session for the design of up to a three-story apartment building in the central area of the Nõmme district.

Following a successful pilot project in collaboration with electric scooter rental services Bolt and Tuul in central Tallinn last year, plans are underway to extend the designated parking areas for electric scooters to Kadriorg and Telliskivi this summer. Tondiraba Ujula OÜ has emerged as the sole bidder for constructing an Olympic-sized swimming pool at Kuukivi Street 3 and 5 in Lasnamäe, moving forward with signing a concession agreement and establishing a building right. The completion timeline for the construction is set at 34 months from the contract signing date.

The spring cleaning in Tallinn has started, and by mid-April, it is planned to clear the remaining leaves, winter road maintenance residue, and debris raised by studded tires from the city roads and streets. First, pedestrian and bicycle paths and public transport stops will be cleaned of granite chips, while cleaning on roads is happening simultaneously.

The Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department, AS Utilitas Tallinn, and AS Tallinna Vesi are set to sign a cooperation agreement that facilitates better planning and synchronization of utility network construction and reconstruction. This coordination with other city infrastructure projects aims to reduce the impact of construction on the city's residents and businesses.
