Starting Tuesday, June 25, water and sewer line construction will begin on Suur-Ameerika Street, resulting in traffic restrictions and changes to public transport routes.

Due to construction work, the Mere puiestee bus stop will be closed from July 3, and the Vabaduse väljak stops on Kaarli puiestee towards the city centre will be closed from July 8. The project includes the construction of new bike and pedestrian paths, tree planting, and the reconstruction of water and sewer systems.

Due to gutter repairs, the Viru Bus Terminal will be temporarily closed to bus traffic from the beginning of the day on Wednesday, July 10, until the end of the day on July 31. This will affect the routes and stops for bus lines 1, 29, and 40.

Construction work on Tallinna Vesi’s water and sewer lines continues on Suur-Ameerika street. The project has reached a phase where previously closed sections will begin to reopen to traffic.

Yesterday, the Tallinn Urban Planning Department honored the owners, architects, and construction companies of historical buildings that were excellently restored and refurbished last year. However, on New Year’s Eve, January 1, early hours, several lines will run longer to ensure partygoers can get home using public transport.
