Eight political parties, two electoral alliances and ten independent candidates have submitted their candidacy documents to the electoral committee for the Tallinn City Council elections.
From Monday, August 23 to the end of August, a vaccination point will be open in the Tallinn City Office building (Vabaduse väljak 7) on working days from 10 am to 8 pm. Spikevax (COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna) is used for vaccination and pre-registration is not needed.
August 20 marks the 30th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Estonia. The anniversary events in Tallinn will start today at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljak), where a new visitor centre is opened. On August 19-21, there will be several concerts and events taking place all over the city.
From September 18 until September 26, the seventh Ethnic Culture Days take place in Tallinn, starting with a traditional ethno-fair on the Town Hall Square on Saturday. The programme consists of free workshops, exhibitions and cinema screenings, concerts and overviews of the culture and customs of different nationalities living in Tallinn.
During the Ironman triathlon and events connected to the competition, several streets will be closed, parking will be limited and there will be changes to public transport services and their timetables on 7-8 August.
As of today, residents in each district have the opportunity to print a certificate of vaccination or COVID recovery free of charge - this can be done in the Tallinn City Office service bureau (Vabaduse väljak 7, 1st floor), in all district government service halls, and in Tallinn Central Library (Estonia pst 8) and all its branch libraries.
Friday to Sunday, 27-29. On August 10 at 20-20, vaccinations can be administered without pre-registration in ten Tallinn schools, vaccination is available in every district. Until the end of August, a vaccination point will also be open in the City Office.
Today, on May 17, the vaccination centre of West Tallinn Central Hospital will be opened in Mustamäe Cultural Centre Kaja (E. Vilde tee 118) and tomorrow, May 18, the vaccination centre of East Tallinn Central Hospital will be opened in Tondiraba Ice Hall. All people who have booked an appointment at the digital reception are expected to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
From 17 May, groups of up to 25 people are allowed to attend public events and meetings and entertainment venues outdoors. People can visit outdoor public saunas, spas, swimming pools, and water parks, provided that the number of participants does not exceed 25 people per group.
