From September 18th to October 8th, all residents of Tallinn have the opportunity to submit proposals for projects that could be implemented in the city's public spaces next year through the participatory budget.

The Tallinn City Administration approved the decision to start the 2024 participatory budget process during today's session. From 18 September to 8 October, all Tallinn residents have the opportunity to submit ideas regarding projects that should be undertaken in the city's urban space over the next five years.

Tallinn creates emergency centres in every district, or institutions that are independent from outside service providers. The purpose of these centres is to provide help, advice and information during large-scale electricity or water outages, fire or other crises. While the emergency centres are mostly located in city district administration buildings that people are accustomed to visiting, the network is planned to be expanded.

Tallinn continues project “Fireproof homes” aimed at low-income residents in cooperation with the Rescue Board.

Grazing season has begun at the Paljassaare beach meadow – the Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department initiative to maintain beach meadows with the help of Highland cattle for the sixth year running.
