Tallinn has been confirmed as a candidate for the title of European Capital of Sport 2025; the winner will be announced in November this year.

The European Film Forum Tallinn, as the winter season's premier summit for innovation in the European audiovisual industry, returns to the Tallinn Nordic Hotel Forum on Monday, November 22, as part of the programme of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event. A total of 40 historically significant objects were recently illuminated in the Old Town of Tallinn, among others Fat Margaret, Patkuli steps, Kiek in de Kök and Tall Hermann. Now, a free map application and an audio guide have been created for visitors of the light track to learn more about the history of the objects.

Tallinn is aspiring to become the City of Music of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network this year. Currently, 47 cities from all over the world belong to the network of Music Cities, 19 of them from Europe.

Tallinn continues to pursue for the title of European Green Capital in 2023, a total of 16 cities across Europe will apply for this year’s title.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart, together with a five-member delegation, is taking part in the Eurocities conference in Espoo, Finland, from 8-10 June. Mayor Kõlvart will also attend the Eurocities executive committee meeting and annual general meeting.

Tallinn will be participating with entrepreneurs in the H22 City Expo city festival in Helsingborg from 30 May to 2 June, where six of Europe’s most innovative cities will showcase their solutions for sustainable development in the Urban Brilliance exhibition.
