SA Tallinna Kultuurikatel received the internationally known ecolabel Green Key, which lets visitors know that the company’s activities are environmentally friendly.

From 30 September to 2 October, a city council simulation will take place at the Nordic Hotel Forum for Tallinn youth aged 14 to 21. The project aims to promote civic engagement among young people and encourage their participation in politics.

On Monday, 8 May, the city of Tallinn will open a mending workshop (Sõpruse puiestee 255) in cooperation with MTÜ Uuskasutuskeskus and Tallinn Technical University, where city residents can bring both clothing and home textiles to be mended.

On 31 March, the City of Tallinn and Alfa Property OÜ signed a cooperation agreement for the construction of public infrastructure related to the Hipodroomi development. This is the first contract awarded under the public infrastructure financing regulation adopted last year.

During this year's final free large waste disposal week from November 20-26, Tallinn's waste treatment plants received seven times more large waste than in a typical week of November. Throughout the year, residents brought a total of 5,592.17 cubic meters of waste to the waste treatment plants, equivalent to approximately 70 truckloads of large waste.

During the free bulky waste disposal week on 21-27 August, seven times more bulky waste was brought to waste stations than on an average August week.

The number of free parking spaces for members of diplomatic institutions on public Tallinn parking spaces was reduced on 1 July. Diplomats residing in the capital were offered the choice to use free public transportation. On Friday, British Ambassador Ross Allen visited a Tallinn City Office service bureau to obtain a travel smartcard (Ühiskaart).
