Next week, from May 6 to May 12, residents of Tallinn can dispose of large waste at waste stations for free.

Today, in a special session, the Tallinn City Government appointed new governors for the districts of Kesklinn, Pirita, and Põhja-Tallinn. Starting today, May 3, Sander Andla will lead Kesklinn, Doris Raudsepp will head Pirita, and Külli Tammur will manage Põhja-Tallinn. All candidates have also received approval from their respective district councils.

This week marked the start of the process to create a strategic plan for Tallinn’s real estate, led by the Tallinn Property Department and involving representatives from all city sectors. The development of this plan is guided by the “Tallinn 2035” strategy and aims for prudent and sustainable management of city property.

On Wednesday, July 3, construction will begin on Kadaka puiestee to replace the current deteriorating overpass with a new viaduct. This project aims to ensure a safer traffic environment for all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles. The construction will result in changes to traffic arrangements and public transport operations.

During the upcoming long Midsummer weekend, residents of Tallinn can access medical assistance at hospital emergency departments, visit the Tallinn Dental Clinic and duty pharmacies, or call the Family Doctor Advisory Line and the Victim Support Crisis Hotline for support.

Tallinn invites all local entrepreneurs to participate in the traditional business competition held as part of Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day. Applications are open from June 25 to September 10, 2024.

From July 11-14, over 60 historic tall ships will be on display across three harbors in Tallinn, with some open for public boarding. These international sailing training vessels have diverse histories, from former fishing and merchant ships to vessels built for military purposes, university training, and government use.

Due to construction work, the Mere puiestee bus stop will be closed from July 3, and the Vabaduse väljak stops on Kaarli puiestee towards the city centre will be closed from July 8. The project includes the construction of new bike and pedestrian paths, tree planting, and the reconstruction of water and sewer systems.
