For the upcoming year, Tallinn's budget allocates nearly 396 million euros for educational operations, representing almost 41% of the total operating costs. The primary focuses include the transition to Estonian-language education, increased investment, and raising the minimum wage for teachers.

The international sustainable tourism destinations conference Green Destinations 2023 is being held in Tallinn, the European Green Capital 2023. During the conference, a cooperation memorandum for a green corridor between Estonia and Finland was signed. Several Estonian tourism destinations have been part of the Green Destinations network for four years now.

The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2023 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 46.5 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2023 will be 1.18 billion euros.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted a budget proposal for 2024 to the City Council, totaling 1.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 79.5 million euros or 6.7 percent compared to the revised 2023 budget.
