Tallinn public transport during Christmas and New Year
During the Christmas period, Tallinn’s public transport will operate according to the Sunday timetable. On the evening of 31 December, traffic restrictions will be in place in the Freedom Square area due to the New Year’s concert and light show, and several bus routes will be diverted. After midnight, in the early hours of 1 January, the operating hours of a number of routes will be extended to ensure that people celebrating the New Year can return home safely by public transport.
Several social benefit rates to increase starting next year
The Tallinn City Government has decided to increase several social benefit rates from January 1, 2024. In response to the rising cost of living, the city is raising the income threshold to 360 euros and the financial support for the beginning of the academic year from the second grade to 100 euros.
