From December 27-29, Pae Street will see essential water and sewer pipeline construction near the property of Pae Street 2. During these dates, the affected street section will be closed to traffic. As a result, bus lines 7, 13, 50, and 58 will undergo temporary route adjustments. In addition, construction works will necessitate the closure of one lane on Peterburi maantee.
Tallinn's public transportation will follow a Sunday schedule during the Christmas period. On New Year's Eve, December 31, due to a concert at Freedom Square, traffic will be closed in the area, and bus and trolley lines passing through will be rerouted. After midnight on January 1, several lines will operate extended services to ensure partygoers can return home via public transport.
On Wednesday, October 25, road resurfacing work will take place on Kreutzwaldi Street, between Tartu maantee and Gonsiori Street. Due to the construction, the bus routes No. 9, 31, 35, 42, 46, and 55 in Tallinn's city center will be temporarily altered.
From November 1, tram line No. 5 will be reinstated in Tallinn, operating on the Kopli-Vana-Lõuna route. The temporary tram route No. 6, connecting Tondi and Kopli, will end its service. All trams' schedules will be updated to work better together. The schedules for trolleybus routes will also be updated to improve their efficiency.
In regard to Victory Day and St John’s Day, on Friday 23 June and Saturday 24 June, Tallinn public transport will be operating per the Sunday timetable.
Due to construction work on the Vana-Kalamaja and Soo tänav intersection, it will be closed to traffic from 7 to 13 August. Due to the construction work, the route for bus line 3 will be changed in the Randla direction and the bus will be rerouted.
Starting from 1 August, several bus line numbers and routes will be changed – the changes will affect lines number 8, 17, 17A, 35, 42, 43, 48, 67 and 68.
Next weekend, on 5 and 6 August, the international triathlon competition IRONMAN Tallinn 2023 will take place, leading to temporary traffic restrictions and changes in traffic in Tallinn and Harjumaa. In Tallinn, the changes mainly affect the Haabersti district. Parking and car traffic will be restricted, and there will be changes to public transport schedules.
With the reopening of Hobujaama and Laikmaa streets to public transport on October 21, all temporary bus route diversions caused by the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line will come to an end.
