The Tallinn City Government has proposed to the City Council to lease, from December 4, Hiiu Stadium, Lasnamäe Stadium, Wismari Football Stadium, and Võidujooksu Football Field to the current managing football clubs for a ten-year period.

In the coming 2023/2024 school year, Tallinn will continue paying significant attention to improving learning environments in schools and hobby schools. In September, a new building will be opened for the Mustamäe Hobby School. A total of ten more learning facilities are also in the construction or planning phase. Hiiu School, which starts operating on 1 September, will soon join the present network of schools.

Starting next Monday, 14 June, and lasting until the end of August, 18 school stadiums will be open to the public in Tallinn for sports.

For the upcoming year, Tallinn's budget allocates nearly 396 million euros for educational operations, representing almost 41% of the total operating costs. The primary focuses include the transition to Estonian-language education, increased investment, and raising the minimum wage for teachers.

The international sustainable tourism destinations conference Green Destinations 2023 is being held in Tallinn, the European Green Capital 2023. During the conference, a cooperation memorandum for a green corridor between Estonia and Finland was signed. Several Estonian tourism destinations have been part of the Green Destinations network for four years now.
