Global early-stage investor Antler is organizing two founder-focused events in Tallinn during Latitude59 and has opened applications for its next Helsinki cohort starting on September 1, 2025.
In the coming 2023/2024 school year, Tallinn will continue paying significant attention to improving learning environments in schools and hobby schools. In September, a new building will be opened for the Mustamäe Hobby School. A total of ten more learning facilities are also in the construction or planning phase. Hiiu School, which starts operating on 1 September, will soon join the present network of schools.
The City of Tallinn, as part of its 2020-2030 education strategy, aims to modernize the entire network of schools and kindergartens by 2030. This year, the city is investing over 38 million euros in the renovation of kindergartens.
From 2023, the limit for covering the cost of food in kindergartens in Tallinn will increase by 50% and the cost of school meals for pupils will rise from €1.56 to €1.80 a day. School meals will continue to be free of charge for both primary and secondary school pupils in Tallinn.
