Starting on 20 October, Tallinn offers children and young people a wide choice of school holiday camps and activities — from creative workshops and technology labs to sports, theatre, and outdoor adventures.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted to the City Council a 2023 city budget with a total amount of 1.14 billion euros, which is 66.5 million or 6.2% more than the 2022 budget. The focus of next year’s budget will be on social security, with most of the investment going into roads, streets and education.

The autumn school holiday from October 23 to 29 provides students with opportunities for creative self-expression, physical activity, and educational self-improvement.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted a budget proposal for 2024 to the City Council, totaling 1.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 79.5 million euros or 6.7 percent compared to the revised 2023 budget.

For the upcoming year, Tallinn's budget allocates nearly 396 million euros for educational operations, representing almost 41% of the total operating costs. The primary focuses include the transition to Estonian-language education, increased investment, and raising the minimum wage for teachers.

In the coming 2023/2024 school year, Tallinn will continue paying significant attention to improving learning environments in schools and hobby schools. In September, a new building will be opened for the Mustamäe Hobby School. A total of ten more learning facilities are also in the construction or planning phase. Hiiu School, which starts operating on 1 September, will soon join the present network of schools.
