The celebration of Tallinn Day begins with the opening of Short Leg Gate on Sunday
Tallinn Day celebrates the acquisition of Lübeck city rights in 1248, which included Tallinn as a member of the Union of European Cities. On Monday, 15 May, Tallinn will be 775 years old. The birthday events will begin on 14 May, when Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will open the Short Leg Gate.
Buses temporarily rerouted from Viru bus terminal on Wednesday
Due to a technical failure of the ramp at Viru Keskus bus terminal, buses 1, 8A, 14, 18, 20A, 29, 34, 38, and 44 will not stop at the Viru bus terminal on Wednesday, 7 January, but at the Hobujaama stop in front of Apollo Plaza.
Tallinn to continue collaborating with universities and colleges
During today’s meeting, the Tallinn City Government decided to partner with Tallinn University (TLU) and Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) to advance scientific and developmental activities and enhance the internship system and further education.
