In the last three years, the time taken to process building permits in Tallinn has halved, thanks to changes in current practices.

The Tallinn Education Department began informing parents of school appointments based on place of residence for children entering Grade 1 on 1 September 2023. Parents can confirm school locations until June 10.

All students up to the age of 19 are eligible to receive financial support from the City of Tallinn in the beginning of the school year. To date, 46,603 applicants have already received the benefit, and a total of 4.4 million euros have been paid out. Applications can be submitted until November 30.
