The City of Tallinn is planning a major redesign of the Kristiine junction to improve mobility for everyone and prepare for the future tramline extension.
Tallinn invites everyone to welcome the New Year at Freedom Square, where the celebration will feature a concert with performances by ensemble LAINE, folk-infused beats of Trad.Attack!, rapper nublu and an innovative light show titled “New Beginning.” Due to the concert, there will be traffic closures in the area and rerouted public transport lines to accommodate the festivities.
During the last two weekends of October, residents of Tallinn can once again give away hazardous waste free of charge. On October 23, hazardous waste are collected in Kesklinn and Lasnamäe, on October 24 in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallin, on October 30 in Pirita and Mustamäe, and on October 31 in Haabersti and Nõmme.
During the Ironman triathlon and events connected to the competition, several streets will be closed, parking will be limited and there will be changes to public transport services and their timetables on 7-8 August.
As of today, residents in each district have the opportunity to print a certificate of vaccination or COVID recovery free of charge - this can be done in the Tallinn City Office service bureau (Vabaduse väljak 7, 1st floor), in all district government service halls, and in Tallinn Central Library (Estonia pst 8) and all its branch libraries.
On Monday, international procurement for the design of the largest hospital complex in Estonia - Tallinn Hospital - was announced with the deadline of 27 May 2021. The estimated cost of the procurement is 11 million euros.
Tallinn Social and Health Care Department suspended the international design procurement of Tallinn Hospital announced a week ago in order to exclude the risk of possible conflict of interest in the project team. A new procurement will be announced as soon as possible.
