Annual concert to mark Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day on August 20
This Wednesday, Tallinn will celebrate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with its annual concert at Harjumägi, August 20th Square. The concert will feature performances by Anett and Valter Soosalu, accompanied by the Tallinn Police Orchestra under the direction of Riivo Jõgi. The mayor of Tallinn, Jevgeni Ossinovski, will also greet fellow citizens on the occasion.

1,125 candidates running for the Tallinn City Council
A total of 11 political parties, three electoral alliances, and 13 independent candidates have submitted their registration documents for the upcoming Tallinn City Council elections. In total, 1,125 candidates are competing for seats in the new City Council, which will be elected on 19 October. Candidate numbers will be assigned by a draw this Friday.
