Construction work on a unique extreme sport area began in Tondiraba Park
Last week, the construction works were initiated in Tondiraba Park for creating a unique extreme sports area – a skatepark and a pumptrack. This will add environmentally friendly leisure and sports activities for citizens of all ages. The entire park will be completed by the end of this summer.
Tallinn aims to improve street maintenance with new contracts
The Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department has launched a call for tenders to seek contract partners for the maintenance of main roads and road facilities, public transport stops and roadside green areas for the next seven years. Tallinn is making investments into smart solutions for companies
The Tallinnovation competition, which supports smart city solutions, received ten applications this year. The city of Tallinn, along with the Tehnopol Science and Business Park, chose four winners from among the ten applicants. The winners will receive 100,000 euros of investment, which is a record-breaking sum.
Construction work on Tallinn’s largest park - Tondiraba Park - will begin soon
Construction work for the construction of Tondiraba Park in Lasnamäe will start in March. The park will become the largest recreation area in the capital, which will provide plenty of space for both people and nature.
One lane temporarily closed on Narva Road in Kadriorg
Due to maintenance work near the intersection of Narva maantee and Filmi Street, one lane on Narva maantee in Kadriorg heading towards the city center is closed, which may lead to traffic congestion. The maintenance work will continue until late in the evening on September 23.
New traffic regulations on Toompuiestee near Balti Jaam
On Monday 20 February the next stage of the reconstruction of Vana-Kalamaja street will begin. The construction works will bring new traffic regulations to Toompuiestee and Nunne intersection. The temporary regulations will remain in force until May.
Public competition open: Tallinn to invest €100,000 into smart city solutions
The application round for the Tallinnovation competition, organised jointly by the City of Tallinn and the science and business campus Tehnopol, began this week. The competition’s goal is to discover smart city solutions that can make the city’s services and environment more comfortable for both residents and visitors. This is the second year that a total of up to 100,000 euros will be invested into smart city solutions.
