Free legal advice available in Pirita, Mustamäe and Lasnamäe in September
The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal counselling, provided according to a schedule in every district. The next sessions will take place on 4 September at Pirita District Government, on 11 September at Kaja Cultural Centre, and on 25 September at Lasnamäe District Government — all from 9:00–13:00.
New bus line connects Ülemiste City and Peetri
From 1 September, Tallinn, in cooperation with Rae Municipality and Põhja-Eesti Ühistranspordikeskus (North-Estonia Public Transport Centre), will launch bus line No. 47, connecting Ülemiste City and Peetri. Initially, the new line will operate until the end of this year.
New bus route 8A to launch in September
From 1 September, City of Tallinn will introduce a new bus route, No. 8A, running between Mähe aedlinn and Viru keskus to provide Mähe and Pirita residents with an alternative connection to the city centre. The decision follows feedback on previous changes to route No. 8.
Next phase of trolleybus overhead line reconstruction begins in Mustamäe
As part of preparations for the deployment of new battery trolleybuses in 2026, AS Tallinna Linnatransport is continuing upgrades to the city’s trolleybus infrastructure. On Monday, 11 August, the third stage of medium- and low-voltage cable reconstruction works will begin in Mustamäe, lasting until November.
Weather disrupts IRONMAN Tallinn: timetable shifts and transport changes
Due to the weather conditions on 23 August, the Ironman Tallinn team has announced that the competitions will be delayed by three hours. This change also affects the previously published public transport detour times.
IRONMAN Tallinn to temporarily close streets and change bus routes
Next weekend, 23–24 August, the international triathlon IRONMAN Tallinn 2025 will cause temporary traffic restrictions and changes in both Tallinn and Harju County. In Tallinn, these changes will mainly affect Haabersti and Põhja-Tallinn districts, with parking and traffic restrictions as well as adjustments to public transport timetables.
Park & Ride network extended to Viimsi municipality
Starting 1 August, the Hundi tee Park & Ride car park in Viimsi municipality will join Tallinn’s Park and Ride network, offering residents the option to park their vehicles securely and continue to the city centre by free public transport.
30 more battery trolleybuses to be acquired to expand trolleybus network
The Tallinn City Government has approved the full use of the purchase option under the contract concluded by AS Tallinna Linnatransport, under which 30 additional battery trolleybuses will be acquired next year.
Traffic changes during the Song and Dance Celebration procession and concerts
The weekend’s Song and Dance Celebration procession and major concerts at the Song Festival Grounds will bring significant traffic changes to central Tallinn. Several streets will be closed, many bus routes rerouted, and tram traffic will be suspended during the procession.
