The first outdoor e-cigarette collection boxes have now been installed in Tammsaare Park and near Kristiine Keskus as part of a pilot project to test how such a system could work in public spaces. The pilot will run until the end of October and will help determine the best way to organize outdoor collection.

The City of Tallinn is planning a major redesign of the Kristiine junction to improve mobility for everyone and prepare for the future tramline extension.

The new pedestrian tunnels on Endla Street will provide pedestrians and cyclists with a safe and convenient route between the city centre and Kristiine.

Starting 1 September, Tallinn’s public transport will switch to the autumn–winter schedule, which means timetable changes for many bus and tram lines.

The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal counselling, provided according to a schedule in every district. In February, the City of Tallinn and Viimsi Municipality signed a joint memorandum of understanding, under which bus line No. 1, which currently ends in Viimsi Centre, will be extended to Vimka Ski Centre starting 1 September.

The Tallinn Electoral Committee will accept applications for candidacy in the City Council and district councils from 20 August to 9 September.

Tallinn invites everyone to welcome the New Year at Freedom Square, where the celebration will feature a concert with performances by ensemble LAINE, folk-infused beats of Trad.Attack!, rapper nublu and an innovative light show titled “New Beginning.” Due to the concert, there will be traffic closures in the area and rerouted public transport lines to accommodate the festivities.
