First outdoor e-cigarette collection boxes installed in pilot project
The first outdoor e-cigarette collection boxes have now been installed in Tammsaare Park and near Kristiine Keskus as part of a pilot project to test how such a system could work in public spaces. The pilot will run until the end of October and will help determine the best way to organize outdoor collection.

Tallinn residents aged 14 and older still have a few days left to vote for up to three favourite ideas to be implemented in their district.
Free legal advice available in Pirita, Mustamäe and Lasnamäe in September
The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal counselling, provided according to a schedule in every district. The next sessions will take place on 4 September at Pirita District Government, on 11 September at Kaja Cultural Centre, and on 25 September at Lasnamäe District Government — all from 9:00–13:00.
Voting for Tallinn’s 2025 participatory budget now open
From today until 22 September, all Tallinn residents aged 14 and older can cast their votes for up to three of their favorite ideas to be implemented in their district.
In October, Tallinn accepts hazardous waste free of charge
During the last two weekends of October, residents of Tallinn can once again give away hazardous waste free of charge. On October 23, hazardous waste are collected in Kesklinn and Lasnamäe, on October 24 in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallin, on October 30 in Pirita and Mustamäe, and on October 31 in Haabersti and Nõmme.
Luise Street in Tallinn centre closed for construction until Sunday
From 7 am on Friday, September 24, one lane on Luise Street is closed due to the construction of the heating and water pipelines. Luise Street is completely closed on Friday evening from 7 pm to 11 pm on Sunday, September 26. One lane on Luise Street will be partially closed until the evening of Wednesday, September 29.
Tallinn students to be vaccinated in schools at the end of August
During the last two weekends of August - August 21 to 22, and August 27 to 29 - Tallinn will organize vaccination against COVID-19 in schools. Students aged 12-18, their families, but also other residents are expected to get vaccinated. There is no need to pre-register for vaccination in schools.
