The City of Tallinn is planning a major redesign of the Kristiine junction to improve mobility for everyone and prepare for the future tramline extension.
From next week, the route of bus No 3 in Tallinn city centre will change
As of Monday 11 July 2022, the route of bus number 3 will be changed in the city centre, with the bus no longer passing through Mere puiestee, but instead going from city centre to Toompuiestee and from there to Kalamaja and Kopli.
Tallinn the start and finish of Electric Marathon
On 28 August at 9.00, fifteen teams will set off from the centre of Tallinn for the electric vehicle marathon round Estonia, on the route Tallinn-Pärnu-Tartu-Tallinn.
Pedestrians brought back to the ground at the Kaubamaja junction
The construction of the Vanasadama tram line will change the appearance of several streets in Tallinn's city centre, and at the intersection of Gonsiori and Laikmaa streets (a.k.a Kaubamaja junction), pedestrians will be able to cross on the ground instead of the tunnel.
Rävala puiestee closed and public transport diverted due to Europe Day concert
Due to the Europe Day concert by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tallinn city centre, the intersections of Rävala puiestee with Lembitu and Lauteri streets and the squares of Teatri and Islandi will be closed to traffic today, 9 May from 6.30pm until midnight.
Additional public transport departures for New Year's Eve in Tallinn
On the night of New Year's Eve, 31 December to 1 January, additional departures will be added to the city's main public transport routes, with the last buses and trams leaving the city centre at 3.00 am.
This weekend opens Green Mobility Month, Estonia puiestee partially closed to traffic
On Saturday and Sunday, 4-5 September, Tallinn celebrates the beginning of the Green Mobility Month and holds an event “Green Journey in the Heart of the City”, which will take place on Estonia puiestee and Tammsaare Park to raise awareness about green mobility and encourage sustainable means of transport.
In memoriam - Edgar Savisaar
Edgar Savisaar (31.05.1950 - 29.12.2022) was Mayor of Tallinn twice - from 2001 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2017.

A book of condolences for the former mayor of Tallinn, Edgar Savisaar, has been opened in the service hall of the Tallinn City Chancellery on Vabaduse Square.
