City Council Scholarship awarded to 15 master's and doctoral students
The annual City Council Scholarships were awarded to master's and doctoral students at the Jaan Poska House yesterday. A total of 15 scholarships amounting to €36,000 were granted.
The gala concert of the Tallinn Talent music competition is open to the public
On Sunday 21 May at 2 pm, the festive closing concert of the Tallinn Talent 2023 youth music competition will be held at the Estonia Concert Hall, where its initiator and patron Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will acknowledge the winners and present them with city scholarships. The free gala concert is open to the public.
Tallinn supports high-achieving athletes and sports projects with a total of nearly 395 000 euros
In April, Tallinn allocated a total of 375 820 euros to 293 high-achieving athletes and 19,062 euros to 17 local sports projects as part of the grants for non-profit activities in the field of sports.
Public infrastructure of the Hipodroomi development completed in partnership between the city and the developer
On 31 March, the City of Tallinn and Alfa Property OÜ signed a cooperation agreement for the construction of public infrastructure related to the Hipodroomi development. This is the first contract awarded under the public infrastructure financing regulation adopted last year.
Tallinn Day offers a rich music programme
Tallinn Day is celebrated as fitting to a UNESCO City of Music - with a wide range of music events and concerts. The programme starts on Friday 13 May with a music morning in Tallinn schools.
The New Year's Eve party on Vabaduse Square will feature well-known Estonian artists and for the first time a light show.
On the last day of the year, 31 December at 22:00, a grand free concert will start in Vabaduse Square. Estonia's best-loved artists Anne Veski, Karl-Erik Taukar Band and 5MIINUST will perform, and at midnight there will be a light show.
