On May 20–21, the international hackathon "Hack the Future" took place in Tallinn, aiming to find innovative solutions to enhance cities' resilience to climate change and natural disasters.

Tallinn is developing a modern, people-friendly, and green Main Street along Narva maantee and Pärnu maantee, stretching from the Jõe–Pronksi intersection to Vabaduse väljak. Locals are invited to join a public discussion on 11 June at 17:30 at Nordic Hotel Forum, where the city will present an overview of the feedback received so far.

The cities of Tallinn and Valencia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership focused on urban innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer. From 21–24 May 2025, Tallinn will host Latitude59, the leading international conference in the region for technology and startups. The City of Tallinn is actively contributing to the event with substantive partnerships, side events, and an exhibition booth at Kultuurikatel.

The Tallinn City Enterprise Service and the Department of Science Cooperation at the City of Heidelberg have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate cooperation between the two cities in the fields of business development and innovation. The aim of the partnership is to foster the exchange of knowledge related to sustainable urban development, with a particular focus on technology-based solutions and digitalisation.

On Tuesday, May 20, the grand finale of a business idea competition for Ukrainian women living in Estonia took place at the Jaan Poska House. Now in its third year, the initiative aims to support Ukrainian women’s entrepreneurship and increase their visibility and economic activity in Estonia.
