Historical Jaan Poska House in Kadriorg open to public on February 3
Jaan Poska’s house – the home of the notable statesman and the birthplace of the Treaty of Tartu – will open its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, February 3 at 11 AM. In honor of the anniversary of the Treaty of Tartu, admission is free.
City Council Scholarship awarded to 15 master's and doctoral students
The annual City Council Scholarships were awarded to master's and doctoral students at the Jaan Poska House yesterday. A total of 15 scholarships amounting to €36,000 were granted.
On Museum Sunday, you can visit the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia again
This Sunday, 7 May, the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia will again participate in a free of charge Museum Sunday after being closed for the winter season. Due to construction works and various events, the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds Visitor Centre will not take part in the Museum Sundays until August.
Next year's participatory budget to add more greenery and sports opportunities in the city
Projects aiming to add more greenery to the city and facilities promoting active lifestyles emerged as the winners in Tallinn's 2024 participatory budget vote. One million euros have been set aside in the budget for the realization of these projects.
Electric scooters can only be parked in designated areas within the City Centre
Beginning from 1 September, electric scooter services provided by Bolt and Tuul can only be ended at designated parking areas. Since the start of the pilot project at the beginning of August, 126 dedicated scooter parking areas have been constructed in the City Centre. Until now, users had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the locations and their use. Now, using these spaces is compulsory.
