On 30th of September, the European Commission announced the winners of the 2025 New European Bauhaus (NEB) Prizes.

Today, the Mayor of Tallinn, Mihhail Kõlvart, and the Mayor of Tartu, Urmas Klaas, signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate the co-operation between the European Green Capital 2023 Tallinn and the European Capital of Culture 2024 Tartu for mutual advantage.

The construction of the Vanasadama tram line will change the appearance of several streets in Tallinn's city centre, and at the intersection of Gonsiori and Laikmaa streets (a.k.a Kaubamaja junction), pedestrians will be able to cross on the ground instead of the tunnel.

The Tallinnovation competition, which supports smart city solutions, received ten applications this year. The city of Tallinn, along with the Tehnopol Science and Business Park, chose four winners from among the ten applicants. The winners will receive 100,000 euros of investment, which is a record-breaking sum.

This week, the ACES of Europe Validation Committee got to know the opportunities for sports and the organisation of sports in Tallinn – the prerequisites for the title of European Capital of Sport 2025 are created by local and national sport events taking place here in addition to the infrastructure supporting sports. The winner will be declared this November.

This Sunday, 6 November, admission to museums affiliated to Tallinn Museum is free of charge. The next and last Museum Sunday in which the entry is free will take place on 4 December.

Tallinn Day will be celebrated for the 21st time on Sunday 15 May, but the first events to mark the city's birthday will take place on Friday 13 May.
