The board of the Design Federation has confirmed that Tallinn has been chosen as the city that will welcome the European Design Festival in June 2022.

Tallinn is participating with a joint stand of Estonian enterprises at the world's leading real estate market event, MIPIM 2022, in Cannes, France, from 15-18 March.

Estonian Startup Awards 2021 gala took place on January 21, 2022. The development project of the year, collaborative project of the year, start-up of the year, tourism deed of the year, job creator of the year, future solution and eco-innovation awards were announced at the Tallinn Business Awards gala held at the Song Festival Grounds on 30 September. Awards were also presented for the best applied research projects.

Tallinn Old Town Days, celebrating its fortieth anniversary, will take place on 3-5 June this year. The varied programme offers a total of 400 events taking place over three days in different parts of the Old Town.

Tallinn Day celebrates the acquisition of Lübeck city rights in 1248, which included Tallinn as a member of the Union of European Cities. On Monday, 15 May, Tallinn will be 775 years old. The birthday events will begin on 14 May, when Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will open the Short Leg Gate.

All residents are invited to participate in the voting for Tallinn's best athlete and team of the year 2023.

At the Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards gala held at the Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) yesterday, the awards for the Best Development Project, Collaboration Project, Bright Newcomer, Tourism Achievement, Job Creator, Solution of the Future, and Eco-Innovation of the year were announced, alongside awards for the best applied research projects.

At the 18th Tallinn Youth Work Awards Gala "Suured teod" held yesterday, the nominees for 2022 were recognised in five categories: great achievements of Tallinn's youth, great achievements for Tallinn's youth, Tallinn youth worker of the year, Tallinn young volunteer of the year and Tallinn youth association of the year.
